Southpaw's Tumbling mats are our highest durability mats, and they provide superior shock absorbency.ÿ As with all of our high-quality mats, the Tumbling mats use an antibacterial, antifungal 14 oz. vinyl. The foam core, however is 1.4" thick, laminated cross-linked polyethylene. The process of cross-linking strengthens the foam, providing greater shock absorption, and somewhat greater durability.ÿ Designed with competitive gymnastics in mind this mat is most ideal for high-impact use but is more firm that the cushioning mats.
